I have some decent experience shooting cell phone screens, here's one of my shoots here: http://tinyurl.com/37dpw3y (youtube link)
The thing is I've found is that setting perfect focus gives a grid look to the image, which I suspect is the pixels on the screen. I don't want that grid look. However! I really would like the lovely sharp image that that focus provides me.
The way I get around it now is by setting my focus to just a tiny bit underfocused or overfocused (I forget which right now). This works to get rid of the grid but the sharpness is definitely less, sometimes a lot less depending on the tiniest bit of change in the focus.
Anyone got any ideas?
