Shooting camera 24fps, loading camera 30fps, any problem?

If I shoot footage on a 24fps camcorder (dvx100a), but load the tapes into PP2.0 using a 30fps camcorder, to save the heads on my DVX100a, will there be a problem with frame rate, or otherwise? Thanks!

The shooting camcorder is a Panasonic DVX100a

The loading camcorder is a Panasonic PV-GS80, which is in the $200-300 price range. Should I worry?

Thanks!

What alternatives do people use to load tapes? I forget what you call the decks...

Thanks for your help!

I just got word it doesn't make a difference. A fellow filmmaker told me regardless of the format it's all captured in binary code, which isn't changed from tape to comp during the capture process.

Phew!

Thanks again!

The video and audio are; any camera will do for that -- but the pulldown flag info may not be transferred by a super-cheap camera -- there have been reports of this. You need it in order for an NLE to strip out the pulldown automatically.

It's not something that happens often, and I doubt you have to worry, but it has happened.

I do this all the time. Film with a dvx and upload the tape with a shitty lil mini dv camcorder, then edit on a 24p timeline. works just fine!
