What is the best method for shooting at night? Do I shoot during the day or perhaps late during the day and then do the rest in post production? What are some of the tips and tricks on how is this accomplish?
Why cant you just shoot at night? like what conditions are you shooting under? do you have lights and if so what lights?
i know tiffen offers 2 differant day-for-night filters which means you can shoot during the day preferably around dusk and get a night looking effect, but its going to knowck your light intensity down by about 1 1/2 stops.(28 weeks later had i think 1 or 2 day for night scenes using DI tho)
Thanks for the response. I do not have a professional HDCam so I can't really test this but the camera I use, Sony HVR-Z1, either looks too dark or too noisy. Maybe I don't have the proper lighting or not using my camera properly.
