Shooting a Movie Screen, Severed Head

Friends.

I'm making a super16mm short next month and i had a few questions.


1) How do i shoot a movie screen (approx. 4' X 3') within the shot? In the shot, I want to present a movie being shown on this screen to couple of characters. And then slowly either zoom in or dolly into the frame of the movie and then the movie from the screen becomes the actual scene. Assume the movie being shown on the screen is 1.85:1 ratio and i want to shoot the scene at that ratio.

2) I would also like to show from the main character's POV, his girlfriend's severed head. He would be holding the head. In the frame you would see his hands holding a severed head as a close-up. Any thoughts how i can do this?

For the severed head, you might want to look at how Sam Raimi & Co. did that in ED2. It shouldn't really be that difficult, just tinker around a bit and apply some common sense.
