shooting a commercial

I've been hired to shoot a commercial for a local pet store and was asked to be involved in the scripting process. I'm drawing a blank...

Anyone have any ideas for a quirky fun pet store commercial? I have a script I can shoot that has been written by the owner, but even he admits it's pretty subpar, I'm at a loss. Any ideas would be super!

Re: shooting a commercial

Guy and his girlfriend are in a park.

The woman sees a kid with a cute dog walking towards them and she bends down to pet it. The woman melts and makes gaga noises. Kid with dog passes by.

A woman with a baby stroller walks towards the couple. The guys girlfriend melts again, and bends down to make gaga faces at the baby.

The boyfriend is kind of nervous. Looks back on the path with the kid with dog.

Cut to guy buying puppy in petstore and end with the title of the store and a snappy punchline in voiceover.

Got anymore information on the pet store for us? What was the owners idea, maybe it can be tweaked to make it work. Flattering the man that pays always goes down well.

No offense meant to Isaac, but dude, if that's the funniest thing you've ever heard, you need to get out more! ;D

It is a darn good idea.

My suggestion was going to be: "Kitten, the other white meat."

i think you should show a dog upchucking their food products for 20 seconds, and then he stops and looks at it and starts licking it up. and the voice over says. "mmmmmm... so good , youll want to eat it twice" and the store name.

;D Any dog owner can appreciate that visual ... it's a bit of a stretch, but I think it could work, Neil! (can't stop laughing)
