Hello everyone,

I will visit a gentleman who specialize race horse training tomorrow. I will do some moving shot. Any tips to make video interesting?

TIA

Without knowing what type of video it is, what look you're after etc etc, it's hard to know what to do to make the the video "interesting". But here's my shot in the dark. I would say mix in alot of closeups. Get back and use the long end of your lense and really push in tight, not only on the person that might be riding the horse, but also the horse, it's feet etc. Also, if you have access to a dolly it would be cool I'm sure to use on some shots, although depending on circumstances may end up scaring the horse?

Hi PDX_DVX,

Thanks

The video is to promote my SmoothArm to make my demo video have some interesting topic to show to the world.

I will do that.

I don't have dolly.

The weather is bad today, so I cancel the shooting. Hopefully next Saturday it would be fine. So I have one more week to listen to you. :)

Ok, makes things alot more clear now that I know what you're filming. I would say to really show the capabilites of your arm, you need to try and put it in situations that test it; uneven ground, stairs, fast speeds etc etc.....

Here's a few recommendations:

1. Film from the back of a pickup truck. Have a horse or horses riding behind, to the side, etc. while you film.
2. Have a shot moving through a herd of horses that are in a pen/arena. Shoot it like a POV of someone walking through the herd.
3. Get a shot of a horse being excercised in a circular pen. The trainer stands in the middle and the horse trots around the outside of the arena. If you're near the middle you can move and pan around in a circle, following the horse.
4. POV shot from atop a horse. Ride a horse that is being lead somewhere by a trainer.

Just some thoughts.
