shoot anamophic and get 4:3

Guys, Can I shoot with anamorphic lens adapter and then get 4:3 ? Just asking cos dont want to unscrew my anamorphic lens adapter for a few hours shot I am going to do for my friend (he wants it to be 4:3).

The easy answer is "no".

The hard answer is... well, you could *sort of*, but it would be really goofy and highly recommended against. You could rotate the anamorphic 90 degrees, which would shoot basically square (1:1), and then put the camera in "squeeze mode"... that would give you the world's goofiest way to get 4:3 out of a 4:3 camera! ;D

(in other words, take the adapter off...)
