Im tyring to mount a Ninja Flame onto the C100 Hotshoe but the arm I have https://www.amazon.co.uk/SMALLRIG-S...Articulating/dp/B00NW6HDAE/ref=cm_rdp_product is strong but it doesnt stop it from twisting on the connection from the monitor, is there something I am doing wrong? anything I can do to stop it from twisting? it only does it when I handhold it which is what I am going to be doing alot of.

I second patrick - ballmount on hotshoe and some velcro/tape around the hotshoe to make sure it doesnt slide out. If you insist on magic arm, get out the big bucks - anything less then the bright tangerine arm will probably break on set eventually in the 1st year. Iv used naga arms, z american arms and others and they are toast within a year, always. Pay big or go ballhead.

Yes I agree about the magic arms. I have the Bright Tangerine arm but I still go for that Manfrotto ball head if I can.

Been using a short Wooden Camera “Ultra Arm” for mounting onboard Monitors, but as space & weight are constant concerns when traveling by air I am going to test Abel Cine’s “Cameo Swivel Mount“.

I usually locate my on 1/4 thread on the back of the camera with a ball adapter, which is pretty solid. Then I went a step further and just took the dang handle off and replace it with the monitor. I have yet to figure out where to put my wireless receiver but with the Atomos breakaway cable, I'll come up with something. I would like to add that using SmallRig nato clamps saves me time moving the monitor from one camera to the other.
