shock mount for boom/cam hotshoe

Hi,

I'm lookin to get a shockmount for my ntg-2 mic. I will be using a boom pole and will also need to attach the ntg-2 to my dvx.

Can i buy one shock mount that attaches to both a pole and the camera or am i expected to buy one for both pole and cam? Thanks

I use the Audio-Technica AT-8415 shock mount on both cameras and with a Gitzo boom pole. Here is the mic page at B&H, if you notice this page also has the camera shoe adaptor on it. It says that the shock mount is out of stock, but look around I am sure you can find one, or a comparable model. For 10 bucks, I would get the shoe adaptor, it is very handy.

The Rycote "Lyre" shockmount design is technically the best there is, at any price, and I have now thrown away all my rubber band and elasticated manufacturer shockmounts and moved over entirely to the Rycote InVision range - even the MS setup in my Rycote stereo windshield now has these mounts. I will also be getting the new studio mount for my side-fire mics as soona s they come out.
