Shia LeBouf admits Indy 4 was crap.

He'll work again. He's got an awful lot of crappy movies left in him.

In all fairness a friend is presently working on the new Transformers project, and she tells me that he's a very pleasant fellow and that they get along great.

Just what the world needs...another Transformer movie...

Yep, Shia is legit. Honestly out of most other actors out there I read stuff about, he seems like the one I'm almost completely certain I would enjoy being around in real life. He's a no BS kind of guy, and despite his age, he holds a maturity that most don't seem to have around that time. If you know anything about him you know he's basically been forced to become an adult years and years ago with what his family life was like.

I don't think Spielberg looked at Indy 4 and went "man...I made one awesome movie." If you sat down with him, no strings attached, I think he would be totally honest about his own work. If we can't be honest with ourselves about what we do or work on, then improving is hopeless. Because even when someone lends advice or criticism that's good...you have to eventually get over yourself and recognize the need for improvement.

Way to go Shia!

I think Spielberg had no passion for this project. I even read that he made Indy 2 & 3 only because he had promised Lucas. I wonder what drove it out of him? I mean, Raiders is such a great movie... It must be a pleasure and a lot of fun to direct a movie of this type. :)

What really sucks is that I know just enough bad Arabic and just enough poor French that whenever I hear about this guy, I keep hearing his name as "Party of Beef." Which is now how my wife refers to him, too.

I don't think Spielberg really cares to make sequels, himself. IIRC, aside from the Indy movies, The Lost World: Jurassic Park is the only instance of a sequel that he has directed, and he wasn't all that thrilled with making that one--he felt he'd already been there, done that.

Aside from that, count me in with the apparent minority that actually enjoyed Indy 4. I thought it fit right in with the whole spirit of what Raiders intended to be. Over the years many fans have become to take the movies so seriously, when they are actually an homage to adventures and serial shorts of the 1930s, with over-the-top plots and action sequences.

I have not seen Indy 4 ....but my family and I loved the Disney TV show "Even Stephens." I hope that kid stays out of trouble in real life and continues to have success in a career that he deserves.

He's done good work before; first thing I saw him in was Holes, which I thought was a really fun movie in which he was really good. Actually, it was an ensemble cast, and really everybody was darned good, in it.
