Sheriff/deputy patches

I'm putting together sheriff and deputy costumes for 2 of my actors. I have the uniforms but I need to put patches on them, and was worried about what was "OK" and what wasn't.

It's 'not okay' to use the actual patch/badge/insignia of any real law-enforcement department without their express permission.

On the other hand, you are free to create and use your own designs.

Try www.galls.com and http://www.broncpatches.com/index.htm They carry police equipment. I have bought from them numerous times.

Yeah I ordered my EMT patches from Gall's but Sheriff's seems to be the aggrivating one as I can't seem to find a "stock" patch that isn't someone's actual insignia.
