I'm jamming to a popourri of music (Name it; I'm probably jammin to it) :cheesy: (Learned finally Motley Crue's TOO YOUNG TO FALL IN LOVE on guitar tonight)

I'm mullin my lack of filmmaking this year; pisses me off. Wanna go rampage something..............

Sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I just finished watching Grosse Pointe Blank and The Poseidon Adventure.

Think I'm going to cap off the night with some Simpsons and hit the hay.

Just bought a bread maker, a carton of cigarettes, and a sack of potatoes.

Now I'm going upstairs to build a spaceship.

"Shawn Murphy? What are you doing up anyway? "

TOO FUNNY, how'd I miss that post?? I guess my last post last night was two minutes before you posted this, but I know I was sitting there watching the notifications for a couple more hours reading god knows what film crap online and probably pondering some of those Winona Ryder pics.

Well, I think the question of "what am I doing up" is more appropriate now, I didn't get to bed until like 5:30 in the morning! Then of course I got into bed and started reading some book on Directing (can you say crack, er, I mean film info addict?!)

So, WHAT AM I DOING UP NOW?? I should be sleeping until at least 1:30!Damn, I gotta pick up the daughter in a bit and then there's that stupid Seattle/Indianapolis game (and I'm not really a big football fan, but I always get sucked into sports anytime a Seattle team starts to kick booty, but they always let me down, 10 years I been here and every Seattle team has let me down right after getting so close!) Reminds me of being a Vikings fan as a kid in the 70's! Painful, painful, painful!

HUDSON - what kind of guitar(s) do you have/play?

wow this love affair is sweet and all doods but Jarred added a new feature to the site, it's called Private Messaging, you should try it ya fruits.

lol

Happy Kwanza.

Speaking of PMing - Hudson doesn't know what clementines are ! OMG!

Some of us are exhibitionists, and I know you want to watch!

"Coming to DVD soon..."

..yeah, I think the sleep deprivation and the CAB SAUV had us a little loopy.

And who you calling a FRUIT!! I'm actually not that stylish:

Do you guys dig my Happy Face purse ?

LOL SHawn; last night we were bantering back and forth across the entire forum; reminded me of the old days when we'd all be posting like mad insane ballroom dancers

I only have an acoustic these days )I broke 2 other guitars due to anger management issues in the 90's (I call it the Coast Guard; other's call it immature)

Were you guys talking guitars? I've been wanting to pick up a Seagull S6... I've got another friend that has some Martin freak thingy that cost over $2K.

And yeah... we pretty much prefer acoustic. Actually I like everything acoustic if it's live.

Hmm... so you're the cute tall one on the left John? Hmm... too bad they caught you picking your nose.

You see, this is the great thing about the 'Cafe ala DVX'

It's tag line! - "yap about whatever you want here."

Re: guitars

Martins: I could never understand why so many people would want spend a fortune on a guitar that almost no human being could here the difference between it and my Takamine's... Theory: It's all ego crap because everyone is brainwashed into thinking Martins are "cool", kinda like the XL cameras, I seriously almost bought it instead of the DVX because of the "cool" factor, thank god I found the article Jarred and Barry wrote!

oh, and the cool thing is that you can buy several 'Taks' for the price of one Martin.

Seagulls: If I remember correctly, some of the Seagulls are really nice looking, not sure how they sound or play.. are those the ones made in Canada?

Yep, Seagulls are made in Canada and you can get a Cedar (mohog) top for under $300 on ebay... maybe $400 for a really nice one. I'll be getting one of the sub-$300 models.

Check this out... in case you hear me bragging up those darn Oktava mics all the time. CLICK HERE This is a wave, so it's huge for 30 seconds (like 7 mb) but this'll show you why I like those cheap-ass Oktavas so much.

When I get home later I'll see if I can't grab some GOOD guitar off this thang... this was from 2 nights ago. We got pretty nuts towards the end and it was funny as sh*t... I was telling old GF stories and Elliot was turnin' it into songs on the spot.

I'll grab some o' that and convert it to mp3 so it loads up quick.

I have a Kramer Pacer Carrera that I bought new in 1983... 'cuz Eddie Van Halen used to endorse them. Also, I have a 9-string Alvareaz acoustic - (has the octave strings for the lower three only). I just keep it as a normal 6-string.

ooo guitars!! I love guitar talk! its so fascinating to see what other people play.

I own a Fender Strat USA made...a Gibson LP Custom...some really old electric acoustic Guild..im not sure on its model...some generic classical acoustic...and a hand made one from one of my moms friends.

any of you guys have recordings?

My Epiphone goldtop is okay. I've got to take it into a guitar shop, though. I'm not completely satisfied with the intonation...that's what I get for trying to adjust it myself.

Got a pic of the Pacer?

Most peeps here know I'm an old man. :)

Unfortunately, I have no pics of my Kramer, but I'll see if I can grab a snapshot and post it here.
