Sharp VLZ1U MiniDV Camcorder as DV DECK

Hello everyone,

I've been looking for a good cheap DV CAM to use as a DV DECK to do all my playback and capturing after shooting with the DVX100.

I would like to know if some of you have experience with doing this, and if using a cheap CAMCORDER to do capture decreases the quality of the picture?

It won't...unless of course you shot in LP, in which case you'll get a dropout ridden playback from the cheapo cam.
