shaky titles on export!

I am using adobe premiere pro 1.0 and have just finished a short 1-2 minute film for school, but upon exporting my film at the end (.avi), the end credits seem of low quality and have a shakiness to them when played in windows media player and other computer based media players, as well as having slight lines through the wording and the fades not being completely smooth. Has anyone had this problem before? I created my titles using adobe title designer and are of very simple quality.

Please Help.

Thanks guys

Daniel, maybe you should deinterlace your footage if you can. I had a problems with shaky titles and fixed it this way. Also you can set Flicker Removal, in the Field Options. See how that works.

The font can be a big factor. Avoid fonts that contain thin lines; particularly thin horizontal lines.

The font color can also be a contributor. If your credit text is white, for example, don't use pure white.

Right-click on the title clip in the timeline and select 'reduce flicker' (under field options, I think) or put on a slight guassian blur effect.

Here's a good article that goes into more detail. It talks about the DV codec but I don't think the techniques are limited to just that codec.

Thanks alot for the help guys, i tried that and now the titles don't shake, except for when they are fading in and out, otherwise its fine. Any reasons why they would just be shaking when fading in and out? I've never encountered this problem before with premiere pro.

Daniel, did you use the flicker removal in the field options? I think you shouldn't encountered any shaking even with fading out if you did. On your clip in the timeline, just right-click on the video track and choose field options-flicker removal, like TeleDan said.

Yeah i used the flicker removal in the field options and i also applied the 'reduce interlace flicker' affect to the title clip, which made the text look much sharper and better, but it still has a slight flicker to it when it plays, its really frustrating. I've tried various optiona and combinations with these settings, but still am getting a slight shake to the titles whenever i export. i dunno whats going on. I am working with PAL aswell, so could it have anything to do with NTSC, interlaced, progressive, etc?
