^ Jeez, if you'd just said "provocative" instead of "extreme" you would have had a really nice batch of alliteration there. Oh well...
 
If you hate shakey cam make sure to stay away from the new Lars Von Trier film Melancholia. I was so angry at how absurdly over the top the shakiness was in some scenes. As though every little camera move made the film more meaningful, more intense.

I like the Bourne films so I'm not against its use when appropriate. Same with any technique really. (People using a 5D with the lens always at f/1.4 please take note!)
 
The 'handheld' style can work if done right and not in a extreme way, i enjoy the style of The Office and Arrested Development for example.

the 'shaky' style i hate with a passion, stuff like Bourne Ultimatum or Ocean's Twelve simply looks like complete crap to me and it's completely unwatchable imo.
