I'd first off like to say thank you everyone for all the help you guys are giving me.
I know I have recently been making a few threads asking questions.
But, I'd like to mention that your help doesn't go unappreicated.

I originally posted this in the cinematography section and they redirected me here. The problem is I don't have AE I only have the Final Cut Studio package so the only thing I think that comes close is Motion.... errr so thats all I have to use. I wasn't sure if this should go in FCP or AE but I figured that some people in AE might have had some experience with Motion....

Well, anyways I want to make one of my characters going insane and I want there head to shake and blur intensly.

Here is a video to show you what I mean ---> http://youtube.com/watch?v=dEspq_qQzH4

Any help?

Well in that video...it seemed that the head was smudged like in photoshop..then jus animated.

what you could do for your character is have your actor shake their head like crazy for about a minute. Then in editing..speed it up and add motion blur.

Basically from what I saw in the video, here is what you can do:

You can make an area with a mask (round the head) and apply a blur effect only for this area. Make it a little soft too. The blur effect must have random values and blur one time the horizontal axis and the other the vertical, randomly again.

In AE you would use an adjustment layer for this, I don't know the equivelant in Motion.

quite a bit of the effect looked like the Liquify tool.

Basically, the only way to get that kind of thing is to shoot with a slow shutter speed and then speed up the footage. You actor has to move very slowly, as the decreased shutter will cause more motion blur.
