Shake Render Issues

For some reason, Shake sometimes doesn't write the render file to disk. For example, I'll render out a scene, and the render flipbook pops up, and the scene renders. But, then when I go to the location in the "File Out" node, the file doesn't exist. This only happens sometimes. Do you know what is causing this, and what the workaround is?

EDIT - I am rendering out Quicktime / Animation / 29.97.

EDIT #2 - For some reason, I can get the render to work properly if I change the name of the FileOut node destination file (the "imageName" parameter). I always use a unique file name when I render out files, but sometimes if I make it REALLY unique, then it works. Am I going crazy?

Are you give the File Out node a name? I forgot to name my file on output once and it didn't do anything...
If you are talking about naming what the destination file is going to be, then yes. I don't rename the actual fileOut node though. I just use whatever it sets as default.

I was rendering to a RAID config located inside a Windows XP machine. The Windows and Mac computers are connected through a gigabit network. I am now rendering to the Mac's desktop, and things seem to be working fine. I am wondering if maybe Shake is a little bit buggy when rendering out to Windows through a network.
