SGpro with Letus new achromat

I talked about this on other thread but thought it deserves own one.

So as a new SGpro flip unit owner I´m very interested if Letus´s new achromat can be used with SGpro unit also? It would be cool to get rid of the vignetting and edge sharpness problems with ex1 & sgpro combo also. I haven´t got my ex1 yet but some of the material I have seen with the combo isn´t that good. The problems seems to affect all adapters out there. Only footage with new letus achromat with ex1 seems to work very good. And Sgpro and Letus are using the same flip unit so there might be a chance to get it to work...

So if some one has an opportunity to test new Letus achromat with SGpro I would be more than pleased to know the results
 
im working on it.... imm still waiting for the new acromat..... its in the mail i think....
 
The EX1 kit has been precisely calibrated for the Extreme. It is not compatible with the SGpro flip unit. Furthermore, the achromat thread size is different.

This is most disappointing. Hopefully Wayne will work something for the SGflip and EX1.
 
I don´t see the point why I couldn´t work. Both items uses the same flip unit. And it´s only a achromat lense. You can use other adapters achromats in sgpro also. So I don´t see why it doesn´t work. If some one could test this and show that it doesn´t work or explain why it doesn´t work I would be very happy,

Hi Guys,

We have been working hard on this to offer an optional replacement flip module achromat, both for the HVX200 and Sony EX1. The results have got us excited :) The achromats are now designed and on order. The upgrade will not be costly.
