hey i was just wondering if anyone who ordered the sgpro for the aug.15 batch recieved theres a little early.i guess just wishful thinking on my part being that my axiousness is getting the best of me.i'll be waiting.

Hi,

I received the parts from the machine shop for the August batch, yesterday. We are now assembling.

All units are being shipped this week.

That is awesome to hear, Wayne!

Will you send everyone in the August batch an e-mail when their unit is shipped out?

I'm getting excited, the wait's almost over!

Hi,

I think it makes sense to keep your order info off this board, please email me instead.

All units on this batch are complete, 12 have already left, last 8 to be collected by FedEx tomorrow :)

Love your adaptor. I think it's the best of the lot. Sharpness, Grain, Bokeh, Build and cusomter service. No DVX User folks, I don't by the prevailing new age sentimanet bandied about here, that all adaptors are special and good , in their own special way - like children. Some of them really suck. Some vignette, breakdown, have reps who never return phone calls, uncentered ground glass, prone to dust, jiggle when you pull focus, etc. None of which I can say is endearing. The slack "reviewers" here cut only encourages more shennigans.

The only improvement I beg for the SG PRO, before Winter rears its ugly head i: is lose the plastic baseplate screws. Maybe it doesn't get so cold in England, I can almost guarantee that'll be the first thing to go in a New England winter. Plastic, subzero cold and torque mae a bad mix. In fact, one of my SG user friends has already snapped two.

Other than that keep up the good work. And for the rest of you out there - "ease of use" isn't the biggest deal. Trust me, using rods is a good idea. If it takes another two minutes two set up, it sure beats torque on your lens and the jiggles.

Thanks Tim,

In fact, I have just sent drawings to the machine shop for the next revision of the SGpro, all clamps will be 'compression' type, so no more nylon thumbscrews. We will also see a fair bit of weight lost.
