SGpro Quantaray Lens Stuck!

Anyone ever get a Quantaray lens stuck on their adapter? I pretty much need to get this off ASAP. I have already taken the mount off, but still cannot figure out how to get it off. It wiggles about 1/4 inch back and forth but that is about it. Thanks in advance!

You should loosen and remove the mount and see if you can work the locking mechanism from the other side.

I took the mount off and I cannot tell how the stupid thing will come off, there is like two pieces of metal on each side of another and it hits each one when i turn it back and forth...

sounds like you put the lens in wrong? might have to use some elbow grease to take it off.

Looks like that is my only move... If this doesn't work, I will post pics of the inside of the threads if I can focus on it with my slr... ironically the lens stuck is my macro :)

I have no idea what the locking mechanism is supposed to look like. I will take some pics and post them, hopefully it can be seen!

Hard to tell from the pictures, but it looks like this may be preventing the lens rotation so it can be removed. Is there a way to depress it or move it out of the way?

well i attacked that thing and it moves around but doesn't do anything.. i even held it over and turned it at the same time...

it seems that the silver part down below and behind that is what is rubbing... unfortunately i am having troubles getting a good pic of it!

Those SG pro lens mounts are sketchy. I had an issue with mine in that the lens wouldn't even turn into the mount. I took it apart and saw that the 3 spring tabs were bent. They sent me a new one but I'm going to be extra careful in the future when seating lenses.

You could try and force the lens and it may just completely tweak those 3 tabs in there.

Or you could just ask for another mount and chuck the whole thing.

Well thanks for the help everyone, I was able to get it off by taking a flat edge screwdriver and just slightly wedging it on the inside of the mount between the mount and the lens. I then twisted as hard as I could, all the while holding the screwdriver with my mouth! It came off! Phew...
