I posted some pics of this a while ago, but I got some shorter rails and sorted the power out and got some shorter rails. I think it looks rather nice...

If anyone is using an SGpro with flip on a steadicam or a shoulder mount.... or anything.... then I would recommend doing this, as this setup is much sturdier, the centre of gravity is lower down and its more compact and it just looks neater than the normal system.

looks great. Can you take some more detailed pics of the SG follow focus? Im curious how the accessory port works.

Thats what I've heard. Hows the rest of the unit? Is it solid and well built? Hows the backlash?

Wayne mentioned some another adapter for "hard stops" to be implemented soon, so I'm anxious to see this FF with all the toys. Maybe thats what those holes are for on the handle?

The hole in the black knob is so you can put a alan key through to loosen and tighten the grub screw that holds the focus wheel onto the gearbox.

There is a small amount of play but the grubscrew has loosened and I havnt tightened it yet, which is why its loose.

Other than that its very nice...

Did you extend your battery pack to be under the flip? Thats what it looks like, and this a sweet idea...

Yeah, you cant plug the battery in with the flip the other way up, as the flip unit blocks the socket. I used an angled 2.1mm barrel plug with a 2.1mm flying socket on the end. You cant unplug this extension lead as it is held in with the flip unit but it works quite nicely. Maybe the next rev of the SGpro will take this into account and have the plug in a slightly different place....
