sgblade question?

So I'm thinking about buying the sgblade. I intend on using it with my hpx170, but I already have a zacuto baseplate. Just wondering if anyone else has used this setup or knows if I'd need any kind of riser for my baseplate.

I'm not sure because I've done some research and know you can use the non-flip tube with the hpx170, but does this mean I should be able to simply line everything up on my rods with no problems?

Shouldn't be a problem...as a recall when Phillip Bloom was testing the SGBlade he used a Zacuto setup instead of what was provided. It's never bad to have options available.

I got the same setup. you do need z-riser http://store.zacuto.com/z-riser.html and you're good to go! though i'm using flipped setup, no tube, for non flipped i think you will only need longer rails and support for the adapter.

Wayne has something now similar to the z-riser. It's called the Dual clamp. It's 59.00GBP not including rods. Check it out on shoot35.com under rods components.
