SGblade flip versus nonflip achromat..

I did a test trying to mate the sony fx1000 with a bare sgblade(flip module removed). Using the flip module's achormat, I was able to focus on the GG. My goal was to see if I could reduce the size of my rig as well as trying to get a few more stops back from the cam.

My question, is the non-flip achromat better for this purpose? Will I need to zoom in even less, giving me more stops back from the camera? Will using the flip achromat without the flip module introduce un-wanted distortion, CA, etc..? If so, is there a way to get the non-flip achrmomat with a short tube.. or maybe insted of a tube, just a coupler for connecting the achromat to the blade module?

i hope this post makes sense.. damn insomnia..
