Hello,
I just shot some test footage with the SG35 unit. All shots are with my 1 CCD cheapo panasonic camcorder.

http://homepage.ntlworld.com/wayne.kinney/sg35clip02.htm

Settings were as follows:

Cam:
Shutter speed: 1/50th sec

Aperture: F2.0 - no gain.

----------------

SG35:
Ground Glass Speed - Set to slowest speed throughout.

----------------

SLR lens settings:

Aperture: F1.4 fully open

50mm Nikon Nikkor S

Im very happy with the results concidering it's from a cheap 1 CCD panny.

The real tests will be with the DVX100 which i hope to get at the end of the week, my customers HD100 tests which should be here thursday/friday and the z1 tests at the end of the month.

Please let me know what you think.

Thanks,
Wayne.

Looks great, Wayne.

Looks like you were on a cheap tripod though. A bit of bounce to the image. Overall though very nice. I'd be interested in a native file to download if that's possible.

I am definately interested in seeing the DVX / Z1 footage to come. Keep us posted.

Mike

Hello, thanks for your comments.

You have a keen eye for detail. Yes my tripod head sucks, dont buy maranda!

I will wait for the z1/dvx tests to upload a native DV file.

Thanks,
Wayne.

That is not bad at all for a single CDD camera! Not bad! I'm still waiting to see the DVX footage. I seriously think Wayne has the best looking(quality)35adapter around for its price. Can't beat it!

Thanks for the comments.

Yes im very happy with the results. I put A-HECK-OF-A-LOT-OF research into it.

Please bare with me with the dvx100 test, im getting there guys!!!

Thanks,
Wayne.

I can't wait for the DVX footage! I'm def buying one of these asap. What is the eta on the footage if you don’t mind me asking? I'm apologize i'm very impatient hehe.

Enflow,
Im going to try to arrange the DVX100 test for next week. The guy as a TV commercials director and i know he has a very busy schedule, but will shell see.

Thanks,
Wayne.

Hmm not sure if its because of the SG35.. though I doubt it, but whilst I could see the nice shallow DOF in those shots I thought the actual focal point looked a little soft, but that could be the compression. Would like to see some screen grabs if yu dont mind popping some up

ncie.
I'll post up screen grabs once I get the unit tested with the dvx100 or z1. Im hoping for this week with the dvx100 tests, and im penciled in for the 3rd for the z1 test.

Thanks,
Wayne.
