SG35 - New Footage

From my customer:
Ok, another test of the SG35 with the XL2. Again, fairly rushed, but contains a mixture of follow focus and pull focus shots and no coffee cups! This time with plenty of colour.

The first few shots (up until the Children) were shot using the f/1.4 canon FD 50mm lens with a preset on the XL2 (because I forgot to turn it off).

The lens used for the other shots was a vivitar 75mm-105mm FD f/3.5.

There is some dodgy camera work as the shots were unscripted and I had to try and follow the action both with focus and an inverted image, something that I will get used to over time.

Comments Welcome

Looks really good Wayne!
It's nice to see people footage rather than rack focusing
on household objects. You're doing a great job! How is it going with
the DVX version, is it perfected?

Does still look a bit soft. But I bet you could make up for it on the dvx by setting a higher detail level.

The WMV really looks mush, but thats cause its a WMV. they make everythign mushy. The Quicktime shots are too small to tell. i will do a point by point review when i get mine in mid march, in all different conditions. With the adpater on and Off for comparison.

Web Space - HVX200

Web Space - HVX200

Hey Wayne,

I have 3G of web space that I don't use. I'd be happy to let you use it to show everybody native DV and HDV files of your tests. I can feel how some are dying to compare with the G35 and M2 demo footage and I am pretty confident they won't be disappointed:thumbsup:

Email me at aparis99"at"yahoo.fr (i use this trick to avoid the email spiders)

Also I am in Paris and will soon get the HVX200 so if I can I'll give you a hand on making the adapter and doing some testing.

Cheers and congrats on the work!

Arno

dude can u post a pic of what people get for $440
and can u make it to take the dvx battery instead of 8AAs?

how much to ship it to california?

i think he only makes NıkonF mounts and Canon FD mounts. Both are great lenses. The nikons are a little easıer to use as you can change the ırıs without any trouble. On FD lenses you need to actıvate an ınternal swıtch to change Fstops. the lense adapter doesn not actıvate that swıtch

Wayne,

Can you send me the ordering info? I'm thinking of getting one for my DVX100B for use with Canon FD lenses.

Also, are the rods long enough to support a Matte Box and follow focus assembly? I'm thinking a Cavision matte box with the indiFocus.

What if I'm using a longer lens? Can I get rods long enough to support varying focal length lenses?

Thanks.
