A short narrative film being shot in the San Francisco Bay Area about three generations of Fillipino women exploring the intertwined "virtues" of womanhood and motherhood - and how these two ideas are not one in the same. Right now, we're trying to identify three Pinay performers for the lead roles:
·Mother (40/50ish): Tagalog-speaking, kind face but battle weary, nurse nanay type. Has something of a sordid past but trying to do the best for her daughter.
·Daughter (late teens - early / mid 20s) chain-smoking, sexual in a devil-may-care attitude, redemptive quality like she’s obviously still a child doing grown up things too soon, street smart; in other words a "Tupac loving, k swiss wearing, dark lipstick donning, beautiful rose in concrete jungle type"
·Child (6-10): wide-eyed absorptive blank slate type. Watching the older women's example .
