SF area training?

Yeah, you should do it. It's cheap and when you compare it to the costs of formal education for filmschool you can't do much better. I haven't done the workshop but I've talked to Aron on the phone, because I had questions. He helped me out so much and I wasn't even paying for the course. I'm sure you'll get much more out of doing the course with him.

I finished the workshop 2 weeks ago, it was great! My DVX100B blew everyone else (Canon) away! They remarked how colorful, and punchy the footage looked.
I shot my 3 min film all on 25p and it looked great! Tonight is the little preview at the Beat Museum in SF. I would really recommend this or ANY workshop you can take from Aron. He is so full of energy, information. He is always there to help, even on the phone! Once I get a chance, I will upload my little 3 min. Doc. (and the other students films) to Youtube and have a link for it on this board.

I hear City College has some decent classes. And, they are super cheap. One of these days I'm going to sign up for thier avid class.

BAVC is a great option. I've taken several Avid classes there in the past. One thing to keep in mind is if you're all ready working in the video profession in some capacity the state may subsidize the cost of your classes. It's worth checking into.
