Several questions

I have been looking at all the info on all the cameras. My head hurts. I am looking for a camera that would be good for sports and also to make movie like videos. I also would like to know if what ever camera you as the pros suggest, if I can get it some where with financing.

If you want movies like video then most cameras will work. If you want movie-like videos then that's another thing. I suggest you surf these forums for a couple of weeks or months (while shooting on whatever piece of **** handycam you have available) before making any purchases. That's what I did.

I would rock the DVX100A if I were you. I've shot on just about every camera (read: Sony PD150, Sony PD170, Canon XL1s, Canon XL2, Canon GL1, Canon GL2, Sony Z1U, Panasonic DVX100A and others) and I've been by far the most impressed with the DVX100A. However, it is much easier to get financing on an XL2. You could even probably get one through Best Buy, and get financing there. The only place that I've seen the DVX100A with financing is CompUSA, I don't know that the cams through CompUSA are legit, as the ones on Amazon usually aren't. If you need more info, let me know.

For sports I would look at the XL2 for its lens options. I like the dvx better for filmlook. Both cams have 24P so...try both out and go with your gut.

Also keep in mind, if you're looking for financing you probably don't have a ton of cash; the lenses for the xl2 may be ideal for sports, but not so ideal for the pocketbook as they are very expensive.
