That was done by a company that specializes in that sort of thing. I'm gonna say no to your question of tutorials, though I don't actually know that what i'm saying is true.
Final Cut isn't meant for doing crazy title sequences. Yet you can if you play around enough. After Effects is a program way more suited to this type of thing as are numerous other programs others will inevitably tell you.
I'm thinking Imaginary Forces did Seven but I may be wrong on that.
You're correct. I.F. (led by Kyle Cooper) did the Se7en sequence. Although I heard from a friend of the director that he (Cooper) just took the directors idea and claimed it as his own. That title is what set I.F. on the road to fame. Off the tangent..
The look is mainly composited footage. Filmed with crazy composition, etc and then composited together in after effects. After Effects will be the tool you'll want if you're looking to have this toolset at your disposal to achieve this look.
great sequence...been ripped off alot. it has a similer feel to the NIN "closer" video...which, NIN did the music for this sequence...i think the video came first though...
I dunno... must have gotten used to this stuff, since it indeed has been copied way too many times. Because now it does not impress, even a little :lipsrseal It sure did 10 years ago, but now it's just... *yawn*
