I need a setup for a vlogging on YouTube. Something like Michelle Phan, Lisa Eldridge style and occasionally Jenna Marbles.
I have a lot of equipment to choose from to get a high quality results. I will probably use my BlackMagic Pocket Cinema Camera for video and Rode NTG-2 + Roland R-26 for audio. All on tripods.
My main questions are about the focal distance and lightning:
1. What focal length is the best from experience of those who already did vlogging. I think somewhere around 35 will get face distorted and with 100+ I will have to put a camera too far away.
2. What lights top beauty vloggers use? Big umbrella + catch light?
I will be grateful for any other advice from experienced users.
