Settings for documetary

hi i have the 24PA i'm trying to find out three things,
1# is 60i and 30p the same thing because i don't see 60i it on my camera.

2# what are the best sittings for an Interview for a doc,

3# and what kind of lights should i use?

the interview is indoors
 
Well, you are covering a lot of ground.

1)60i and 30P are not the same. One is interlaced (60i) and one is progressive (30P)

2) The best settings for a doc depend completely on the aesthetic you are going for, and what you are shooting.

You might want to check out the Documentary forum as well as the lighting and cinematography forums. Without knowing more specifics on what you are doing your questions are tough to answer.
