Setting Up Canopus ADVC-110 for FCP

Hey everyone, I can't seem to figure out how to set up my Canopus ADVC-110 to playback to an external monitor out of Final Cut Pro 5.1.1. Does anyone know how to do this?

Okay, this is gonna be long....

1. Attach FireWire from computer to the 110

2. Attach cables (s-video or RCA) from 'analog out' on the 110 to your monitor

3. Turn on 110

4. Select 'Digital In' on the front of the 110

5. Open FCP and check settings (Note: the 110 should be turned on before checking these.)
a. Under the 'Final Cut Pro' menu, select 'Audio/Video Settings'
b. Change the 'Video' and 'Audio' Playback to 'Firewire'
c. Click 'ok'

6. Check settings in the 'View' menu (All the way at the bottom there is an item called, I think, 'Video' or maybe 'View'. This must be set to 'All frames'.)

7. Play something and it should show up on your monitor.

Thank you for taking the time to write this out. I haven't had a chance to try it yet because I've been working six day weeks on a tv show, but this will come in handy.
