Setting Camera to monitor YBR or Composite?

How should the camera be set-
Viewing on monitor in Component or composite?

I keep my all my edit monitor settings at 50% and try to get the camera feed to look it's best.
Of course footage looks better Component than Composite- in fact, when I switch between the two you see a drastic difference.
I figure in the real world- people will view composite. Should I adjust my camera settings to a composite feed?

Edit as you expect it to be seen by your expected viewers, composite sounds right.

I guess a better question is what are you guys using as a monitor to set the cameras settings.
The camera viewfinder/LCD?
An external- monitor component or composite?
All four of these options look different to me.
What is the general rule?

The reason I ask is a recent project looks great on my Sony PVM component- but looks washed out and flat when I played it for my boss on his off the shelve radio shack TV. I turned his brightness/contrast down a bit and it helped- but what happens when I send this stuff out?

NTSC...Never The Same Color.

You answered yourself by noting that you were looking on your boss's RADIO SHACK TV. Every set out there has been set up differently so there's no controlling that issue. Just make it look as best you can within 'legal' broadcast limits and send it out. Can't do anything about the billions of misadjusted sets out there.
