Okay, so I'm wanting to add another DVD recorder (VHS/DVD recorder combo) to my dub rack. Have a Toshiba unit I got at Costco a couple of years ago that works and performs just fine. Would like to buy something local for convenience so the choices are rather limited.
Problem is: Every recorder I've tried so far (Toshiba, LiteOn, Philips) records a stupid menu at the head of the disc. The "feature" cannot be turned off. I just want to be able to pop a finished disc into a player and have it autostart to the program like I'm accustomed to with my current recorder - no ugly menus.
Anyone know if the Panasonic DMR-ES35VS will record discs without placing menu's on the disc by default? Other readily available models that won't do this?
