Servocity for Motion Control?

Has anyone used this http://servocity.com/html/pan___tilt_packages.html and their servo control software to achieve a decent motion control rig?

thats a good unit, I'm building one with it. I'm running into the problem of figuring out how to get a computer to control it, they have an 8 servo controler and program, but it only controls one servo at a time in a step pattern. so i've been looking for other solutions i need at least three servos movine at one time, do you know anything about this problem? perhaps we can colaberate on what we've figured out.

No I don't, but I may pick one up and see what I can come up with. Sounds like I can atleast get a motion controlled pan right out of the box which makes it something worth investing in.

parralax make a servo controller that you can plug in with USB and program it.

Wont work with mac though so I havnt used it since i switched...

there are a bunch of servo controllers out there that plug into a pc, the trick is finding the right one for strong enough servos, for a moco rig you're gonna need 110 servos, so they will need power between the controler and the driver I believe, most servos from what I've found have the driver built in now. I' m still trying to understand it

i'll be putting my moco ladder rig together over spring break, that starts next weekend, so I should have it done in about 3 weeks, all parts should be in next week, I debating a chain or gear rack set up gear rack would be more stable, with less pressure on the motor, but it may cost to much. we'll see.

when its done i'll put up images and video.
