Server Asset management Software

Trying to get an idea on what folks are using to manage their assets on shared servers in 2021?
Think video footage, still photos, graphics, audio and the like.
Years back I had a cataloging app that I could add metadata to each file for searches. Such as "sunny Day", but for the life of me I can't recall the app.

We are looking at purchasing a new server setup, but I would really like to see some form of asset management that everyone could use.

Thoughts?

Best!

Most affordable option we have found is Kyno -https://lesspain.software/kyno/

Basically it places an invisible XML on whatever drives you use - NAS, internal - and references that.

Sharebrowser from SNS was another option, but much more expensive and used to require one of their servers to run the software.

I've been very disappointed with Kyno support. They were recently bought out, but my experiences were before that happened. May want to hang out on their forum or tech support to see if the situation has improved. I was literally getting no reply to any and all inquiries.

I love what their software sets out to do, so I was hoping for better support.

One of my favorite features is the ability to transcode large amount of files to another destination while maintaining folder structures. In other words, after a project is done with heavier codec (RAW, etc), you can create a clone of the project where all of the folders are duplicated at the new destination but all filled with lighter weight file types, with luts added along the way, etc. This can be really useful when needing to create certain types of universal archives for clients, etc.
