Sequence Settings Problem

I'm having a problem with my sequence settings.

They must have switched from 1920x1080 to 1440x1080 when I dragged the video into the timeline while editing.

I'm using EX-1 XDCAM footage and FCP Studio (latest version)

I have about a dozen 4 minute sequences and half of them are fine at 1920, but the others changed to 1440. The editing on the project on all sequences is completed and when I export them to compressor (using h.264), it squashes the picture into a 4.3 image. It looks fine in FCP, by the way, before I convert it in compressor.

I tried going into Sequence Settings to change the file, but when I type in the correct parameters, the image distorts in FCP. Maybe I should try converting the distored FCP image in Compressor and it will distort again when it's converted to a .mov file?

Anyway... I could go back and do the entire edit over again and make sure the settings are done right from the beginning, but I'd like to find a way just to fix the settings.

Does anyone know how I might do this?

Thanks in advance.

FCP 6 will play multiple formats on the same timeline without needing to render. Is it possible that you recorded in two different formats, which are now causing your trouble?

If however, your settings are simply wrong then that could cause your problems as well. The best way to do things right is to edit into the right sequence with the right settings in the first place. Instead of re-editing everything from scratch, there is an easier way:

Create new sequence. Command + 0, change settings to proper settings. Open old sequence, place playhead over first clip, press "F". This will open the master clip in your viewer with the in and out points. Open new sequence, press "F10" to edit into new sequence. Repeat steps for all other clips and then copy and paste all audio into the new sequence.
