Sequence Settings, FCP quits

For some reason when i try to edit my Sequence Settings, final cut just quits on me. Happens every time. I've tried restarting my comp., didn't work. The only thing that I can think of is that I installed it on my external HD. Anyone know what's going on?
 
Okay I just tried to opened it off my Mac HD, with my external unplugged and same thing happens
 
Delete your preferences file. Also no offense meant but is this a legal install, i.e. not pirated?

Getting closer, got the actual settings window to show for a second, blank however, then it quits.
No I didn't get it from a torrent or anything like that.
