Sequence question

I am working on a documentary project. I am editing each character from the film in a seperate project file. I have 3 projects open at a time. I am now interested in dropping certain segments from project 1 into project 3. When I do a copy paste the aspect ratio becomes stretched. each project has the same sequence settings. Why would this be happening? And is having seperate projects a bad idea for one film?

Why don't you do separate sequences within the same project? Much easier to organize.

I will do this in the future. Any idea about the change in aspect ratio?

check the "controls" or "motion"(forgot which one) on each clip and make sure the aspect ration isn't streched to 33.3
because some times it did that on me and I would just set it back to 0.
