sequence playing at wrong speed?

Hi,

frrustrating problem. My NTSC 23.98 2:3:3:2 48kHz 16 bit clips in timeline of identical settings suddenly started playing so that the audio is pitched down a lot or is slowed down enough to caue the audio (not sure about image) to play back at a noticebly lower pitch -- sounds like a drugged effect.

Everything was ok and now its weird. FCP says clips are plaing at 100%, however.

Help, I have to ge this damn thing rendered and burned to disc but not with all the women sounding like drag queens and the men sounding barry white under water

EDIT: I think I've got it fixed, though not sure what I did. Somehow something got screwed in system settings - though not the audio sample rate because I kept checking that.

If your canvas and/or viewer windows are set larger than the "fit to window" setting then it can screw things up. Maybe that was it?

I had a weird setting on desktop preview. I go s video out to an old NTSC TV and, found that I had to have have "mirror on desktop" clicked for it to work.

But I think the only problem that this caused was thet the external monitor was black.
I knew about the size thing and did check that the canvas was sized to fit in the window, mots of the time it's like at 12% because I use teh external monitor and want to keep the system demand to a minimum.
Thanks, though!
