Sequence Field Dominence

If you set your sequence field dominence to "none" are you loosing a field?
if so- what makes it different than the deinterlace filter?

If it's interlaced footage and you set field dominance to "none" yes you are throwing away half of your image. Hopefully the deinterlace filter does a less of a job butchering your footage but I wouldn't count on it. If you need to deinterlace I'd wait until you are done w/the project then deinterlace it using Compressor w/the highest quality settings possible.
