separating the audio and video

hi~ i'm pretty new to editing and was wondering how do you separate an audio track from the video track? i'm trying to go to other video while the same person is talking - i can't find it in the help - so any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Simply press "u" on your keyboard which will UNGROUP the audio from the video.

Just put the "other video" on a track ABOVE the original video. No need to replace/delete anything.
