i remember seeing a chart that had all the different sensor sizes and film negative sizes 35mm s35 16mm s16 1/3" 2/3" etc etc does anybody know were i can find one of those

On the topic of sensormania, since Nov. 13th, I've gone from being ready to drop $ on a RED ONE, to not, to ready again, and now back to not.

Anyhow, point I was going to make is that some very respectable people have commented that bigger isn't necessarily better because of DOF issues. That 35mm sensors represent a zero margin of error factor in terms of holding focus and that the a 2/3" chip represents a happy medium, the socalled "Goldilocks" standard where 35mm aren't really necessary --shallow focus is easily accomplished yet you get some wiggle room.

I don't know how many DP would concur (I'm no DP) but it's an interesting comment.

yeah, I'm with you on that. There are so many other factors to consider. I'll take more framerate options and better latitude than just trying to get more res/bigger sensor. I've worked with a R1, and with the footage in post. Unless you know what you are doing, focus is more of an issue. It's a groundbreaking camera, but it's not for everyone....which is why I am looking at the 3K, 2/3" Scarlet

Besides, there is a strong argument to be made that the naked eye has a hard time telling the difference beyond 2K.
