Okay building the reel for AZ......just received 2 DVD's of older movies from different houses. But they are locked and finished DVD's for a player. That's all they had to give.

Note: I have full permissions to do this by both companies, in writing.

What is the best way to recover the scenes I need for the reel? Please PM me, as this is something that can be abused, and we don't condone pricacy or copyright violation here.

BTW: I have an older mac.....no pc or new computers.

On a mac I've used handbrake to decent results to get video from a DVD. Occasionally the interlacing is bad, but if you play around with settings you will be ok.

Will probably use 2 different methods. One for the Depp film....only need 5 min total there. But the other one will need a full cutting. Too many great shots.

I use DVDFab for any necessary DVD ripping. Works pretty well and easy to use.
