Sennheiser wireless G2 question

Hi Guys,I recently purchased the senn G2 wireless system with the ME2 & ME4 mics. I haven't recieved it yet and was wondering what sort of battery life are you guys getting from it with regular AA batteries, And also what sort of wireless range? Thanks heaps

you will get about 6-8 hours
range depends - from 10 feet to 80 on where you shoot and your reiever placement

I've had range well over 80 feet... Mine has worked just fine shooting fishing scenes across a 300 yard lake... Batteries last at least a day's hard shooting and some...

I use these regularly at work, mainly for recording lectures.
I swap the batteries out at around every 8 hours of use.
This is overkill, but I don't want the things dying on me on the middle of a lecture.

The range on the G2's is less than the original version, but as with all RF devices, very subjective.
In ideal conditions you might get several hundred feet, but don't bet on that.
I have had the G2's drop out at less than 30 feet on occasion (admittedly when using the little bodypack/camera mount Rx)

If at all possible, use a diversity Rx - they are far more reliable.

It's a nice system, particularly taking into account the price.
