wabbitt-
not to hijack an older thread but how would suggest a novice "test" a mic?
i've been reading much of the audio threads for weeks/months and have found wonderful info (my fav was the sticky thread "what i learned from today's shoot"-glorious) but i have found very little about how to "test", what to "listen" for, how to decide what mic to purchase. does it really come down to what sounds good to me? if so, i'm not sure i trust my ears!
any and all thoughts u care to share would, as always, be very helpful.
be well
