Sennheiser G2 sound test (and a question)

Here's a sound test of the Sennheiser G2 wireless system, using the supplied ME2 lavalier mic.

I just got this 100/500 G2 system...it includes the SKP500, which supposedly converts all XLR-equipped wired mics to wireless functionality.

But alas! I'm having trouble getting the SKP500 transmitter to work properly. In fact, although it fires up and interacts with the mics (I can tell it's working from the readout), it doesn't appear to be transmitting a signal to the camera-mounted receiver. Or more likely, the DVX isn't receiving the signal. Anyone with a SKP500 have any ideas what may be wrong? I am new to this wireless stuff...

Anyway, here's the test:

Okay, I checked the phantom power and it was on, but somehow I previously managed to change the transmitter channel. Doh!

It's working fine now. Tried with two mics and had no issues. Thanks for your reply.

If you ever have a really hectic shooting day full of chaos then you can always lock out the controls on the G2 so things like that can't happen after you set it up right. It's in the menu.

Thanks, I will learn the lockout feature today. These things just arrived...It's like Christmas morning and I'm digging through all the new toys. So far I am very impressed with the G2.
