Sennheiser G2 and Sony DCRHC85

I am trying to use a Sennheiser G2 wireless with a Sony DCRHC85. The Sonys mic jack states "PLUG IN POWER". In the manual it staes "Minijack, 0.388 mv low impedance with DC 2.5 to 3.0 V, output impedance 6.8 k ohms (3.5 mm), Stereo type". Will this hurt the G2 receiver? I tested it for a few minutes and the output was hot. I had set the output level to -30 db.
