So i havent been using FC as much and recently got back from LA on tour with the band i work for and got some footage from the whiskey and would like to make some minor audio tweaks in soundtrack and would like to know the proper course of actions to take to do so and end up back in FCP for final touches and then export.

I just take my sequence and send to soundtrack pro multitrack project

Then it request to be saved so i save it to the same folder as my FC project

Then lets say i just do some EQ and volume stuff then save and quit soundtrack, whats next??

Is my FCP sequence now affected or no?

Thanks

Be really careful with the FCP to STP roundtrip feature.

In my experience it does not work well with FCP media manager / archiving and links are lost.

MY system seems to skip a step or two when exporting soundtrack mixdown? I found the fCP manual on apples site and was reading through it and once i send multitrack project to soundtrack and do what i need to do and save it. Next i go to export mixdown and it only prompts me to save it and in what bit depth and khz? But the manual says there should be a box to check to "open mixdown in FC" But im missing that ability?

When you go to export, there's a drop down menu at the bottom that says "After Export:" and you can select "Add to FCP Sequence" IIRC.
