Sending clips over to Motion

I put a few clips on my timeline and cleaned them up and added some dissolves then nested those clips then sent it over to Motion. Once in motion I noticed the dissolves were not carried over. It just cuts to the next shot. Any reason why this is?

this is normal- dissolves do not translate. Send full clips and then do the dissolves in motion or in FCP when you get the clips back.
